FAQ: Deliverables + Usage
What you’ll receive after a cinematography project—final video deliverables, formats, exports, and practical guidance on using your footage across web, social, and campaigns.
Deliverables + Usage (Cinematography)
Strong video deliverables should be ready to publish immediately—clean exports, consistent color, and cuts that match how you’ll actually market: website, social, presentations, and paid campaigns.
1) What do you deliver after a video project?
A finished, edited film with color grading and clean pacing—plus any agreed social cutdowns or alternate versions. Deliverables are defined up front so the final set matches your marketing needs.
2) What format do you deliver in?
Most clients receive high-quality MP4 exports optimized for web/social playback. If you need a specific codec, bitrate, or delivery spec for a platform or agency, I can match it.
3) Do you deliver in 4K?
4K capture is common for premium projects. Delivery can be 4K or optimized HD depending on where the video will live. For most web and social use, a well-optimized export performs best.
4) Can I get versions sized for Instagram, Reels, and Stories?
Yes. If social is a priority, we can include vertical and square cutdowns so the content performs correctly in-feed. Tell me which platforms matter most and I’ll build a deliverable set that fits.
5) Do you include captions or text overlays?
They can be included when helpful—especially for social where many viewers watch muted. If you have brand fonts/colors or a preferred style, share them and we’ll keep everything consistent.
6) What about music—how does that work?
Music needs to be properly licensed. I use licensed tracks appropriate for web/social usage. If you have a brand-approved library or specific requirements, we’ll align with that.
7) How many revisions are included?
Most projects include a defined review process—typically one or two structured revision rounds. Clear feedback (timestamps + notes) keeps revisions efficient and protects the final quality.
8) Do you deliver raw footage?
Final deliverables are finished edits. Raw footage isn’t typically delivered because it’s not a finished representation of the work. If you need raw footage for an internal team or agency workflow, we can structure that as an add-on.
9) How do we plan the shoot so the final edit feels intentional?
We start with goals: who the video is for, where it will live, and what action you want viewers to take. Then we plan coverage (hero moments, details, movement, context) so the edit feels purposeful—not random clips.
10) What’s the typical turnaround time?
Turnaround depends on scope, complexity, and the number of deliverables. If you have a launch date or campaign deadline, share it up front and I’ll structure a delivery plan that supports it.
11) Where should we use the finished video?
Most clients publish on their website, social, email campaigns, and presentations. If you’re running paid ads, I can recommend cut lengths and formats that tend to perform best.
